Social media network
Social media networks change the way people communicate with each other. For example, people can communicate with cellphones, Facebook, MySpace, twitter, YouTube, Skype, and other sites. With all the technology that people have, they do not have to meet up with each other to have a face-to-face conversations. With all technology people can become sucked into and feel addicted to the social media networks, any teenagers cannot live without their cellphones, because they will not be able to call or message their friends. This is difficult because many talk friends everyday. Also, with videogames people communicate with the microphone to listen and talk to their friends while having fun playing online. All of these social media networks have people plugged into technology in many possible ways. Also, with current events happening when someone hears about an event they can post it online. That’s how people read what happens instead of watching it on television. Social media networks have changed our communication and the ways in which we process current events.
Social media networks have changed human communication by making it more interactive and faster. “New online services and internet technologies have changed more than just the interaction between teachers, students, and parents. They have also begun to change the way we communicate teacher to teacher” (Criswell, 2012). When people can interact or communicate, it makes it easier for people to talk to each other because they can be in a different location to be able to communicate. “Identifying influencers in critical for communication professionals for many reasons. It makes blogger or media outreach for your organization or clients more efficient, helps spread the word about news or programs to more people faster or fed of study…” (Falls, 2011). Quick communication matters for many people because they are able to spread the information quickly from anyone right away, which may help teachers and especially students in high school and probably college. If students are working on a project they can send information to one another to help themselves or the group. Since people can communicate quickly this is like a positive situation for everyone because they can help each other even more. Regardless of unavoidable obstacles like bad weather they can’t be able to go outside. All the services usually will remain.
Cellphones and the internet will be frequently used in order for people to communicate with one another or to get information. “Human being naturally prefer to communicate with each other in the format that most convenient to use. For teachers before the World Wide Web, that format was the telephone call or a printed note sent home in a student’s backpack. Although we still use the phone and paper notes, this basic method of communication is now being augmented with social networking tools” (Criswell, 2012). There are professors, teachers, scholars who put in information on experiments they did to let people know what happens when they do this or do that. Also, there’s college websites that have articles which help out the students and all they have to do is find it online because students are able to use those resources for papers they will need to type. Students in high school find information on a topic there doing in class and use the search engine internet as their primary and main sources because in that website was a lot of information that can help any student in their paper. “…Data was collected by communication activities (how often do you use internet-based service such as email, MSN, Skype, to get things done)” (Sage Publications, 2011). By collecting data by communication an activity which is a good way to collect data because since none of the technology goes away people can just be on it all day and can be detected easily with the internet number the people have. The evidence shows the internet usage people use and what kind because some websites are very addictive.
People can process information quickly and they are able to send it very quickly. “it’s helpful to be able to get reminders out in a way that students and parents can quickly conveniently access them” (Criswell, 2012). Humans don’t necessary need to communicate online it’s on their own desire because it depends how comfortable they feel. There are people that like to communicate in person and in the web it’s really how they feel about themselves. People believe the way to process clear information it’s online because its faster and efficient but its face to face because the people can ask questions. “It makes blogger or media outreach for your organization or clients more efficient, helps spread the word your news or programs to more people faster, and helps you build relationships with the online voice that have the biggest impact on the industry in question” (Falls, 2011). With the internet people can put on news about something important that already happen that people didn’t know about. For example a sporting event people like sports but sometimes can’t watch it because they have to work and all they have to do is get their phone and go to the website, txt a friend, or go on Facebook. Information that is processed first is important because it will benefit people in the long run and it won’t waste as much time. Also, teachers can send each other information for a topic they in mind for a certain topic their talking in class. They can find a video that will benefit the class more because students learn from watching and they will know what happen. Also examples like something horrific happened in their community when people aren’t there or in vacation because people in that community post things up. People sometimes put videos of showing fights and sex videos which aren’t appropriate and a waste of time
When do people get face-to-face so they can meet each other? “remarkably, respondents are involved in face-to-face communication for informational cooperative matters, maximizing one’s activities and socializing almost daily, whereas expressive use were reported less frequently” (Sage Publisher, 2011). People meet face to face when they needed information that they don’t understand and need further information on homework because it’s difficult to explain online. People talk online to express how they are and what they like to meet new people. “…the results show that the internet was significantly the least frequently used communicative channel for exchanging expressive message in comparison to other four channels, whereas texting was assessed as being significantly the least often used technology for informational cooperative activities” (Sage Publisher, 2011). People most likely use texting over communicating online because people have a phone and are non-stop texting there friends or boyfriend/girlfriend. Teachers and students meet face to face because a teacher can explain something quickly than just texting or calling the student because the teacher can provide examples that will make it easier for the student. Teachers’ help out students who are mostly go to them for support than calling them.
Trends of communication to help teachers, students, and parents visualize the idea there learning. “…trends would be complete without mentioning the growing importance of video and photo sharing as both educational and promotional tools for music programs. Sites such as YouTube, vimeo, schooltube ,teachertube, picasa and others offer free easy ways for teachers to communicate visually with students and parents…” (Criswell, 2012). Showing a class a visual example may help with what teachers want their students to learn. Some students have a hard time if they can’t visualize what they’re learning about because they don’t understand the topic. For example students find certain topic difficult and they need to visualize everything that is occurring. “ the sharing of information on music education topics never steps on twitter, which is a two-way format, allowing people to send (or tweet) and receive information” (Criswell, 2012). People can share information like athletes getting hurt they will tweet about it saying who and how they got hurt. This is important because they can process information so fast that it doesn’t take that much time. People can share pictures about them online which may be shared with friends and family members who you haven’t seen.
Social media networks matters because people can communicate and process current information and events to one another. People can meet up face to face to explain each other and there work to make is easier and simpler. People communicate online to express how they are in person because they want to show people how they are and if there fun to be around with just by talking to them. Social media networks have its up and downs because if something that is posted in the web people will always see it and nobody will forget about it like for example the 2 white girls talking trash about Hispanics was posted around 2 years ago and they removed it but someone else downloaded the link and posted the video and was seem by every person in the little village community. People should be careful with what they put in the web because people will remember it.
